Beate Kielland and friends perform Purcell, Locke and Bach in Vantaa

Two concerts from the BRQ Vantaa Festival.

FIRST:

Marianne Beate Kielland, mezzo-soprano, Bojan Cicic, baroque violin, Anssi Koskela, baroque violin,
Hanna Pakkala, baroque viola, Markku Luolajan-Mikkola, baroque cello and viola da gamba, Eero Saunamäki, recorder, Eero Palviainen, archlute, and Aapo Häkkinen harpsichord, organs, perform:

PURCELL: Suite The Gordion Knot Untied Z. 597/ Music for a while/ Sweeter than roses.

Matthew LOCKE: Consort of Four Parts, Suite No 4 in G minor.

PURCELL: If music be the food of love/ O let me weep.

LOCKE: Flat Suite for my Cousin Kemble in C minor, movements 1, 2, 3 and 6.

PURCELL: Chacony in G minor Z. 730/ Dido’s Lament 'When I am laid in earth' from 'Dido and Aeneas'.
