Bellini's 'Norma' with Wagner, Farcas, Hernández, Juric, Sugiyama and McCulloch from Martina Franca

Valle d'Itria Festival. Bellini's 'Norma' is a tragedia lirica or opera in two acts with libretto by Felice Romani after Norma, ossia L'infanticidio (Norma, or The Infanticide) by Alexandre Soumet. It was first produced at La Scala in Milan on 26 December 1831.Oroveso leads the Druids in a procession in the forest to pray for victory against the invading Romans. The Druids' pray that Norma will come and have the courage to break the peace with the Romans.
