Britten's 'War Requiem' with Bernhard, Van Schoonhoven and Fagerfjäll from Prague
Britten's 'War Requiem' is a large-scale, non-liturgical setting of the Requiem Mass composed by Benjamin Britten mostly in 1961 and completed in January 1962. The work is scored for soprano, tenor and baritone soloists, chorus, boys' choir, organ, and two orchestras (a full orchestra and a chamber orchestra).
Performers: Susanne Bernhard, soprano, Kyle Van Schoonhoven, tenor, Arvid Fagerfjäll, baritone, Linda Sítková, organ.
Prague Philharmonic Choir. Radost Praha Children's Choir. Members of the Kyiv Symphony Orchestra. PKF - Prague Philharmonia. Conductor: Lukáš Vasilek.
