Two concerts from Spain: Raval, Gesualdo and Bach with Ares

FIRST:

Mark Chambers, countertenor, Andrés Cea, harpsichord and organ, and the Rose Consort of viols perform:

RAVAL: Ricercar del primo tono.

GESUALDO: O crux benedicta/ Deus refugium et virtus.

RAVAL: Ricercar del segundo tono trasportato in quattro fughe d’accordo.

GESUALDO: Tribulationem et dolorem/ O vo omnes.

RAVAL: Ricercar del duodecimo tono, trasportato in quattro fughe d’accordo.

GESUALDO: Ave, regina caelorum/ Ave, dulcissima María.
